Expanded IndicationsThe Cardiovascular Research Foundation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

OVERVIEW

In this webcast, Dr. Vinod Thourani, Dr. Howard Herrmann, and Dr. Michael Reardon discuss the latest findings on the expanded indications of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in intermediate risk and high risk patients, the implications for patient care, and insights into what this means for referring cardiologists. The panel also discusses their firsthand experience with TAVR and the benefits of the Heart Team.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this event, learners will be able to:

2.       Describe the benefits of having a strong Heart Team

3.       Explore the changes to TAVR and the indications from the latest data

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is designed for interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, clinical cardiologists, vascular medicine specialists, and other health care professionals.

ACTIVITY EVALUATION

Evaluation by questionnaire will address content, presentation, possible bias, and future educational needs.
