OVERVIEW

Historically, high bleeding risk (HBR) patients have been treated with bare metal stents because they could not tolerate longer durations of dual antiplatelet therapy. LEADERS FREE demonstrated positive results for this patient group using a polymer free DES. Second generation drug eluting stents with improved polymers showed reduced stent thrombosis and the Onyx ONE trial address if the same clinical benefit could be obtained for HBR patients utilizing DES with durable polymer. In this webcast, experts will discuss the results of Onyx ONE, the clinical implications of the results, duration of antiplatelet therapy for HBR patients, and the follow-up study in patients with HBR.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this program, participants should be able to:

• Compare and contrast the LEADERS FREE and Onyx ONE Trials
• Translate clinical trial data into clinical practice
• Discuss DAPT duration in HBR patients
