May 17, 2013 - CID SpA, a leading European company in interventional medicine, will sponsor a major Symposium at Euro PCR titled “Cre8TM: welcome back confidence in short dual antiplatelet therapy with effective DES”. During this event the clinical impact of the Demonstr8 striking data related to Cre8 polymer-free Drug Eluting Stent (DES) will be discussed by the panelists.

Chairpersons of the symposium are Dr. Mehran, Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York (USA), and Dr. Pachinger, chair of the Department of Cardiology at Medical University of Innsbruck (Austria).

Following the Introduction of Dr. Pachinger, who will briefly detail Cre8TM features and trials results, the first lecture from Dr. Valgimigli will focus on current clinical data and evidences related to dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) duration in the everyday clinical practice with today’s stents.

In the second lecture Dr. Stella will detail the latest Demonstr8 randomised trial results, which are going to be presented during the Late Breaking Trials on Wednesday 22nd. The clinical impact of the remarkable data will be empowered by the OCT case study presented immediately after by Dr. Romaguera before a panelists’ discussion will try to outline how the unique Cre8 features may impact everyday clinical practice. The polymer-free Cre8TM DES releases a proprietary AmphilimusTM formulation (Sirolimus + Organic acid) from Abluminal Reservoirs resulting in excellent efficacy as confirmed in the NEXT trial randomized study.

Finally, Dr. Vrolix will provide a comprehensive overview of the rationale of CID clinical plan, current status and its future developments.

Dr Mehran will then draw the conclusions taking some insights from the discussion and the audience interaction.
