Tesfaye Telila, MD
Tesfaye Telila, MD, is an interventional cardiologist based in Atlanta, GA, with a clinical focus on complex coronary intervention, cardiogenic shock, and the use of mechanical circulatory support. He has been actively involved in advancing cardiovascular care delivery, physician training, and patient access initiatives, with a longstanding commitment to improving cardiovascular health equity in Africa, particularly across Ethiopia. He is the co-founder and executive director of the charity Heart Attack Ethiopia.
Telila received his medical degree from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular medicine fellowship in the United States, followed by interventional cardiology and structural training at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, adult echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
