Vass Vassiliou, MBBS, PhD,

Vass Vassiliou, MBBS, PhD, is a professor in cardiac medicine at the University of East Anglia and an honorary consultant cardiologist at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich; Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge; and the Royal Brompton Hospital, London—all in England. He studied medicine at UCL, London, and completed his cardiology training in London and Cambridge. His doctoral degree was in valvular disease and cardiovascular MRI at Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College London. He is the current chair of the Population Science and Public Health Section of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology. His research interests lie in both clinical cardiology and basic science, focusing on valvular heart disease, arrhythmia, heart failure, and cardiac imaging.
