William A. Van Decker, MD

William A. Van Decker, MD, is chair of the American College of Cardiology's Health Affairs Committee and professor of medicine and director of nuclear cardiology at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Van Decker has long been involved in regional and national physician health policy, previously serving as president of the Philadelphia County Medical Society, as a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society Board of Trustees, and on several CMS/regulatory committees. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship training, including a year of cardiac imaging training, at Temple University. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac CT.
